Indiana author Tristra Newyear's forthcoming series of four novels reimagines the 19th-century utopian experiments of New Harmony, IN in a post-climate change future Indiana
Join her in conversation about what utopias teach us, how they weave into our love of sci-fi and fantasy, and what we can do in our own lives to enable more hopeful thinking in the face of daunting challenges.
For T. Newyear, the past and the future are two pages in the same book. Combining extensive research and emotional clarity, she writes historical fantasies and scientific romances (as H.G. Wells put it) that explore our complex human and technological relationships, our connections to what’s greater than us, and our understanding of the past.
