Journalist Libby Copeland talks about her book "The Lost Family: How DNA Testing is Upending Who We Are." Rebecca Speaker with the Bartholomew County Genealogical Society, serves as host.
Journalist Libby Copeland’s book "The Lost Family: How DNA Testing is Upending Who We Are," investigates what happens when we embark on a social experiment with little understanding of the ramifications. She explores the culture of genealogy buffs, the science of DNA, and the business of companies like Ancestry and 23andMe. The book traces the story of one woman, her unusual results, and a methodical drive for answers that become a modern genetic detective story. Rebecca Speaker with the Bartholomew County Genealogical Society serves as host. If you miss the live event, you can view this on the library’s FB page and YouTube channel in the near future.
