This month, the Inner Shelf Book Club will be meeting on February 25th to discuss Your Heart, Your Scars by Adina Talve-Goodman. In this collection of seven essays, Adina
takes us through her journey with a congenital heart condition and ultimately a heart transplant at the age of nineteen.
Whether writing about the complexities of her many procedures, touching moments with strangers, or accepting that her adult life is tied to the loss of
another person—the donor of her transplanted heart, Talve-Goodman's writing is full of light, humor, wisdom, and a deep kindness.
