Hoosier Balloon Artist Brian Getz will illustrate concepts like color, proportion and realism, using examples from famous artwork. He will invite audience participation as he describes not only what it is like to be an artist, but a balloon artist. Each participant will have a chance to make their own sculpture, and also contribute to a Chihuly like balloon chandelier as a gift to the library!

The Main Library is located in the Cleo Rogers Memorial Library in downtown Columbus at 536 Fifth Street. Completed in 1969 and designed by architect I.M. Pei, it features library collections for children, teens, and adults. It also houses the Columbus Indiana Architectural Archives, Family and Local History collection, and BCPL Create studio.
