Explore Touch the Earth, located at N Country Club Rd, Columbus, IN 47201, on a guided hike provided by the Sycamore Land Trust. Parking is limited, so please consider carpooling. No restrooms are available. Registration required. Teens under 18 will need an adult to sign a liability waiver.
Tips to Prepare
- Dress appropriately for being outdoors based on the weather forecast, layering is recommended.
- Boots or other footwear with good traction are highly recommended!
- Wear sunscreen, a brimmed hat, or other clothing to shield from the sun.
- Use bug spray to protect against biting insects and ticks. You are encouraged to use your own, but some will be available for you to use upon request.
- Bring a reusable water bottle to stay hydrated, water for refill will be available upon request.
- You are encouraged to bring your own binoculars for a closer look, but some will be available upon request.
- Please keep in mind that there are no restrooms at Sycamore Land Trust's preserves.
- If the gravel parking area is full, a Sycamore staff person will be on hand to make additional parking available.
- Attendees will be asked to sign Sycamore's Liability Waiver & Photo Release at the start of the hike.
- In the event of unsafe weather conditions, the event(s) may be canceled with advance notice given.

About the branch
The Main Library is located in the Cleo Rogers Memorial Library in downtown Columbus at 536 Fifth Street. Completed in 1969 and designed by architect I.M. Pei, it features library collections for children, teens, and adults. It also houses the Columbus Indiana Architectural Archives, Family and Local History collection, and BCPL Create studio.
