This program will spread awareness of mental health and suicide awareness to the community, especially in the LGBTQ+ community.
From Columbus East High School Senior Indira James: This event is my senior project. It is a mental health awareness event as well as a craft event mixed together to teach people coping skills for anxiety, depression, stress management, and any other category of mental health. Family services and myself will speak during the middle of the event.
The goal of the event is to spread mental health and suicide awareness to the community, especially in the LGBTQ+ community. There will also be a recommendation to donate to the Trevor Project's website as they are a suicide prevention foundation for LGBTQ+ teens.
