"Magnificent Beast" is about the history of pigs and humans together. Author Tess Gerritsen and son Josh directed/produced the film. View between June 15 -22. Join Tess & Josh for a Q&A on June 22.
Why pigs? They're intelligent. They're the ultimate survivors. And since the dawn of humanity, they've had a complex relationship with us as food, as foe, and even as friend. Our relationship with pigs is so fraught that some cultures forbid pork, and this documentary film dives deeply into the ancient roots of that taboo. Author Tess Gerritsen and her son Josh Gerritsen travelled around the world interviewing archaeologists, religious scholars, hunters and pet pig owners. Their journey reveals the many ways this intelligent and complex animal has found its way into religious scripture, onto our dinner tables, and even into our homes. Register and we will send you the link to view the film between June 15 -22. On June 22 at 6:00 pm join Tess and Josh for a Q&A period.
