Join Mary Callaghan, from the International Crane Foundation and learn about field biology techniques like crane counting and bird identification. We will also explore recording observations of leg bands and using radiotelemetry equipment. We will learn to identify Whooping Cranes and Sandhill Cranes by sight and sound; understand the purpose of tools used by field biologists for monitoring cranes and problem solve when given field scenarios; and develop skills to use tracking technology and record field notes.
