Sierra Club is committed to battling the climate crisis on the front lines. Cars and trucks account for 20% of U.S. global warming emissions. Currently EV's comprise only 2% of the vehicle market in the U.S. but that is expected to rise to 7% in the next five years. Join Sierra Club members in an initial planning meeting to organize a 2020 event/panel on Electric Vehicles (EV). The purpose of this meeting is to have a discussion about EV's and to begin to plan a future event with appropriate experts and representatives to address our questions and concerns. What questions do you have about how to move away from diesel or gasoline powered engines and on to cleaner transportation? The overall goal is to aid consumers in making wise choices to help mitigate the climate crisis. Refreshments provided.
